Solar energy dominates national energy discussion – eclipsing talk of high electric bills and climate changeHawthorn Power Monitor | 0 comments | by The Hawthorn Group
Think your customers are just talking about high electricity bills? Think again. This month’s Hawthorn Power MonitorTM finds significantly more people are talking about what fuels their electricity than high electric bills or climate change. Between early February and late April, of the overall electric utility conversation in social and traditional media, significantly more people were talking about solar energy, natural gas, renewable energy and coal than about high electricity bills or climate change. The discussion was generally positive, driven by talk about renewable energy with most negative dialogue surrounding high electricity bills, outages, rising prices, coal ash, and grid security.
